With the arrival of 2014 comes a whole new year of TPA mixers and events! Hopefully, one of your new year’s resolutions is to taste new and exciting tiki drinks, because that’s at the top of the To Do list as we host TPA’s Winter Nights at Sam’s 2 at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel on Sunday night, January 19th at 7 p.m!
This is an all ages mixer, as we host this on the patio outside between Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam’s. Both locations offer adult and family beverages, as well as awesome food selections; come thirsty and hungry!
Whether you’ve been to most of our gatherings or have never been, we sincerely hope you will start the new year off with us; we welcome first timers and assure you, you’ll be instantly surrounded by friendly people who all share in the same interests you have. As for our regulars – we are really excited to share in a toast to an incredible new year with all of you; this is going to be the biggest year ever for TPAers as we prepare to celebrate our 20th Anniversary this summer and the continued growth of a community that we love so much and are so very proud to be a part of!
If you didn’t get our new Winter Nights at Sam’s button last month, 30 more are on their way to the first people arriving at the mixer and asking Rick West for one! They logo has snowflakes on it; the closest thing most of us are going to get to winter this season, it seems!
Parking at Downtown Disney is free for the first 3 hours; 5 with validation, although neither Trader Sam’s or Tangaroa Terrace validate, unfortunately. If you do park in the DTD lot, you will need to get your ticket validated elsewhere at Downtown Disney. If the Pinocchio Lot is open directly across from the entrance to Downtown Disney, then parking is free all night. Those who have Disneyland Annual Passes may consider parking in the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure; it’s only about a 10 minute walk to Sam’s.
In the event that you are new to all of this, or missed last month’s Winter Nights at Sam’s mixer, click here to see what madness took place under the tiki torches in Anaheim! It really was a fantastic group of about 60 TPAers, and several of our industry partners including Disneyland Resort, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Universal Studios Hollywood donated some awesome prizes, which everyone totally appreciated! On top of that, several folks brought sweet treats and home-made goodies to share with everyone that were nothing but amazing!
We’ve all encountered horrible traffic around the Disneyland Resort over the past few months, and it’s really been an issue trying to get to the mixers. Now that the holidays are over with and school is back in, traffic will be normal once again, and we anticipate smooth sailing for everyone coming to Winter Nights at Sam’s this month. We really thank those of you who braved last month’s insane resort traffic to be part of our Christmas party; it meant a lot, and we know what a pain it was getting there. We look forward to normal crowds in and around the Disneyland Resort now!
If you haven’t yet visited our Facebook page to RSVP for the evening, please do so by clicking here.
Theme Park Adventure looks forward to seeing you all very soon as we charge head-first into the new year together! It’s going to be epic!
