Spring Nights at Sam’s 3 Recap

IMG_0911On the evening of Sunday, May 18th, TPAers gathered under the glowing tiki torches at the Disneyland Hotel to celebrate Spring Night’s at Sam’s 3, our final fan mixer of the 2014 spring season.

More than 75 fans, haunters and themed entertainment industry professionals spent the evening chatting, laughing and enjoying great tiki drinks from Trader Sam’s, as well as tasty treats from Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel! As usual, the event was a wildly fun train wreck of tiki drinks, raffle prizes, outrageous moments and networking. Lots and lots of networking!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Officially Opens at Walt Disney World ResortSeven Dwarfs Mine Train, a playful and musical family-style coaster that immerses guests in the timeless story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, officially opened at Magic Kingdom on May 28th, in time to greet summer guests to Walt Disney World Resort.

Joined by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida and Orlando Magic players Victor Oladipo and Tobias Harris, Magic Kingdom vice president Phil Holmes welcomed park guests as the first riders to experience the newest attraction at Walt Disney World Resort.

D23 Attraction Rewind Update

innerspace2The roster of talent continues to grow for D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind presented by H2O Plus. The event will take place November 22 and 23 at Walt Disney World Resort. D23: The Official Disney Fan Club will bring Disney archivists, Imagineers, Legends, and luminaries together to celebrate fan favorites such as Adventure Thru Inner Space, If You Had Wings, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea with rarely seen concept art and images; vintage video clips; and hours of revealing stories. In addition, there will be a full day of presentations dedicated to Disney’s contributions to the 1964–65 New York World’s Fair.

Seven Dwarfs Mine TrainThe lovable world of Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy and Dopey comes excitingly to life May 28, 2014 when the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes New Fantasyland guests on a rollicking, musical adventure into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.”

The “crowning jewel” of New Fantasyland, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train represents the completion of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history. The family-style coaster features first-of-its-kind ride vehicles that swing back and forth during the ride.
