Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 5Universal Studios Singapore is set to bring your scariest nightmares to life once again, with a unique touch of Singaporean flair this year. Taking center stage at Halloween Horror Nights 5 will be a new chapter of True Singapore Ghost Stories inspired by horror stories on the train, an epidemic-stricken HDB block, a hell house featuring paper effigies, as well as the event’s first ever dark house. Starting from 2 October 2015, Halloween Horror Nights 5 will run for 14 nights across five weekends. Tickets are now on sale.

Ms Andrea Teo, Vice President of Entertainment at Resorts World Sentosa, said: “We are excited to be back with Halloween Horror Nights 5, Singapore’s only fully-immersive Halloween experience. We heard our fans, and this year’s event will take even more of a local twist, bringing fear even closer to heart. Expect to see familiar scenes and folklore in three locally themed haunted houses with the fourth house featuring an intense underground experience. The theme for Southeast Asia’s iconic Halloween event this year surrounds the rise of the blood moon, which will spread destruction to life as we know it.”

Universal Studios Singapore at Christmas

SAMSUNG CSCLog Cakes, Presents and Candy Cane. What else do you want for Christmas? A winter wonderland will certainly be great in tropical Singapore, and that is exactly what Universal Studios Singapore has accomplished. Christmas at Santa’s Land is the 2014 edition of this annual event, where guests can experience seasonal shows, food and decorations.

As with Universal Studios Singapore’s Christmas events of years past, the main highlight of Christmas at Santa’s Land is the extended opening hours till 9 PM. In the evening, New York and Hollywood sections are lit up by glittering “stars” and all rides remain open.

Universal Studios Singapore Debuts Two Shows

CIMG0293It was a typical visit to Universal Studios Singapore (USS), and I found myself walking by the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, as I have done a dozen times before. I usually skip this attraction completely. Yet, on this very day, I felt a very strong urge to go in and watch the show. I later learned that Monster Rock, a rock and roll-themed musical was closed on 1 September.

It is notable that USS did not make any major announcements about this closure, except a small excerpt on its website. Perhaps it is because USS has bigger plans in store for the theatre and the Sesame Street show is just an interim.
