Star Wars Themed Food Available in Tomorrowland at Disneyland

The Galactic Grill in Tomorrowland serves up specialty Star Wars-themed menu items as part of Season of the Force, a new themed experience celebrating iconic characters and moments from the Star Wars saga with special food, thrilling attractions and immersive experiences.
Guests may choose to follow the dark side or the light side with foods and beverages inspired by both sides of the Force. The Jedi Order Grilled Chicken Sandwich offers fuel for the light side with five-spice chicken breast, fried green beans, pickled red onions, purple watercress and wasabi mayonnaise. The First Order Specialty Burger gives guests a taste of the dark side, featuring an Angus beef and chorizo patty topped with fried cherry peppers and spicy-lime aioli on a dark bun.

Tony Baxter Added to Destination D: Attraction Rewind

D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has unveiled more of the experiences in store for members at what is sure to be the can’t-miss Disney event of the year — D23 Destination D: Attraction Rewind presented by H2O Plus. Taking place November 22 and 23 at Walt Disney World Resort, the event will bring Disney Legends, archivists, Imagineers, and luminaries together to celebrate fan-favorite attractions of years past, including Adventure Thru Inner Space, If You Had Wings, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, with rarely seen concept art and images, vintage video clips, and hours of revealing stories. In addition, there will be a full day of presentations showcasing Disney’s contributions to the 1964–65 New York World’s Fair.

Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend Info

Runners can now register for the new Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend presented by Sierra Nevada Corporation at the Disneyland Resort. The intergalactic journey runs January 15-18, 2015. Runners can sign up at www.rundisney.com.
Jedi runners should move fast. Given the popularity of all runDisney race weekends, this transportive event will likely sell out at warp speed. In recent years, runDisney race weekends have regularly sold out in record time, and last year attracted more than 163,900 runners to Walt Disney World and Disneyland – a 40 percent increase over the previous year, making the runDisney series one of the largest in the nation.

From fast-casual fare to haute cuisine, the menu of dining options at the Disneyland Resort offers something for every guest. Here, waffles with the Disney characters are as celebrated as the spectacular creations at Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge.
“We offer innovative cuisine from our award-winning chefs that match our guests’ desire for elegant dining,” said Gary Maggetti, director of food and beverage integration at the Disneyland Resort. “But you can still find the Disneyland classics, from the Café Orléans Monte Cristo to Plaza Inn’s fried chicken.”
