Knott’s for the Cure Begins 4th Year in Partnership with Susan G. Komen Orange County
Posted on January 9, 2017
It’s that time of year again, and while some may think they’re seeing pink at Knott’s Berry Farm because of Valentine’s Day, that’s not the case. Beginning today, Knott’s and Susan G. Komen Orange County enter into their 4th year together helping to raise awareness about breast cancer with Knott’s for the Cure.
What does this mean for park-goers? For one thing, they’ll be seeing a lot of pink. During the event, which lasts from January 9 through March 5, 2017, several of the theme park’s most iconic attractions will be washed in pink lighting after dark, altering the Buena Park skyline dramatically; this includes Supreme Scream (beginning on Valentine’s Day) and the Calico Mine Ride.
The symbolic pink color doesn’t stop there. Guests may now purchase special Pink Tickets that will grant them admission to the park, as well as earmark a portion of each admission to be donated to Susan G. Komen Orange County. Those tickets may be purchased online at Knotts.com. In addition to the Pink Tickets, guests will find pink merchandise for sale throughout Knott’s Berry Farm as well, including special t-shirts, which also provide a percentage of each sale to the foundation.

Knott’s Berry Farm Raises Over $130,000 in Fight Against Breast Cancer
Posted on May 5, 2016
A huge kudos to the Berry Farm team for its 2016 Knott’s for the Cure effort, benefiting Susan G. Komen Orange County in the fight against breast cancer. This year, Knott’s Berry Farm raised $130,588 between January and March through its extensive campaign in Buena Park. Each year, the SoCal theme park does a heck of a job promoting breast cancer awareness – from selling pink-colored tickets and merchandise, to lighting up some of its iconic attractions in “breast cancer awareness pink”. Knott’s has done a stand-up job at not only calling attention to this cause – which we’re all responsible to shed light on – but putting their money where their mouth is and raising a lot of cash for the Susan G. Komen foundation.

Knott’s Berry Farm and Susan G. Komen Orange County are working together, for the second year, to raise money for breast cancer awareness, services and research by offering a special Pink Ticket and limited edition specially designed “pink” merchandise from January 5 through March 27.
“We are honored to continue such a successful partnership with Knott’s Berry Farm,” said Lisa Wolter, executive director of Komen Orange County. “Without the ongoing support from our community, local access to breast health and breast cancer services for women and men would be nearly impossible. Knott’s gives us the opportunity to not only reach a diverse population, but to continue saving lives.”
