Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood Extended Into November

The Walking Dead Halloween Horror Nights 2015The terror of Halloween Horror Nights seeps into November for the first time ever as Universal Studios Hollywood extends its popular event with the addition of Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7, inviting guests to brave Southern California’s most extreme horror event one last time. The cutting-edge Halloween event marks new nights with all-new content, including performances by the versatile dance group, Academy of Villains, and the talented DJ Ricky Rocks.

Hailed as the scariest, most gruesome annual Halloween theme park experience in Southern California, Halloween Horror Nights brings together the sickest minds in horror to immerse guests in a living, breathing, three-dimensional world of terror inspired by TV and film’s most compelling horror properties.

Energetic hip-hop dance performances by the Jabbawockeez headlining this year’s new show have proven so popular that Universal Studios Hollywood has added a special meet and greet opportunity for fans as part of its Halloween Horror Nights experience. These additional nights also provide guests with a last chance to see the award-winning dance crew before they depart Los Angeles for sold-out performances at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood 2015 Review

Horror_Nights_2015_4957It’s always a weird thing when the opening of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights comes and goes. There’s so much hype leading up to the event – from Creative Director/Executive Producer John Murdy’s cryptic messages and hints on social media, to the major announcement he and Art Director Chris Williams make each summer at ScareLA in Los Angeles, and the sneak preview of some of the mazes that Theme Park Adventure has been privileged to attend for the past several years. It’s strange, because before we know it, we’re there, walking through the mazes, shooting video in the scare zones, taking it all in, and then – just like that, we find ourselves driving home at 3 a.m. discussing what we liked and didn’t like about the event – and how crazy it is that HHN has already come and gone for us.

Jabbawockeez Announced for Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights 2015 – Why That’s a GOOD Thing

Jabbawockeez Halloween Horror Nights 2015Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that the world-famous dance crew known as the Jabbawockeez will be the headlining show for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event here in Los Angeles. Immediately, social media was ablaze with negative response from fans of the Halloween event, ranging from, “Not very impressed – wish Bill and Ted was coming back,” to “So what does this have to do with horror? On the flip side of that, there has been a lot of positive reception to the announcement as well, which evens things out for the most part. Here’s the official release from Universal Studios Hollywood, and then I will weigh in on why we think adding the Jabbawockeez to the HHN 2015 lineup is a smart move:

Jabbawockeez, the highly-accomplished, award-winning hip hop dance group, universally recognized as America’s best dance crew, will bring their innovative choreography, intricate synchronized style and signature white masks to Universal Studios Hollywood in an electrifying new show during Halloween Horror Nights, beginning Friday, September 18, 2015.
