Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Open May 28

The lovable world of Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy and Dopey comes excitingly to life May 28, 2014 when the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train takes New Fantasyland guests on a rollicking, musical adventure into the mine “where a million diamonds shine.”
The “crowning jewel” of New Fantasyland, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train represents the completion of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history. The family-style coaster features first-of-its-kind ride vehicles that swing back and forth during the ride. Adding to the fun, the journey will be accompanied by music from the film classic and scenes filled with Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs and playful forest critters.

“it’s a small world” 50th Anniversary History & Fun Facts Around the World

Around the world, Disney is celebrating the 50th anniversary of “it’s a small world,” which debuted at the 1964 New York World’s Fair as an exhibit to salute UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund). Since UNICEF is dedicated to the welfare of children all over the world, the theme for “it’s a small world” became an international voyage celebrating the happy spirit of children everywhere.

On November 1, 2013, legendary Disney Imagineer received the highest honor bestowed on any individual at Disneyland in Anaheim, California: a rare window on Main Street credit. Dotting Main Street, guests can see ornately decorated windows bearing peoples’ names and whimsical titles/artwork that pertain to the mark they have left on Disneyland and the Walt Disney Company as a whole. Without a doubt, Tony not only deserved this unique accolade – it is likely safe to say that he is the most iconic Imagineer that has touched the lives and helped shaped the enthusiasm of most of today’s Disneyland enthusiasts everywhere.
