Great Horror Campout Presents The Strangers on June 26
Posted on June 12, 2015
Coined “The Scariest Movie Ever Made,” The Strangers will be the featured horror film for the June 26th, Great Horror Movie Night.
Under the glow of the moon and stars, perched high above the LA skyline, horror fans will bring picnic baskets, blankets and chairs and prepare to scream their heads off as producing company Ten Thirty One Productions adds their own brand of horror by supplementing the on screen terror with some interactive real life scares taking place off the screen.
The night will start with pre-show games and festivities and will be hosted by the Great Horror Campout Headmaster, the overly confident and comedically condescending demeanored mascot of the summer event.

Great Horror Campout 2015 Delivers Dark Humor and Filthy Fun
Posted on June 11, 2015
“Only the dawning sun… will save you.” Those are the final words campers heard this past weekend in Los Angeles as the third annual Great Horror Campout got underway in the old zoo section of Griffith Park.
About one thousand guests – campers – gathered around a stage to hear their instructions for the night, as dictated by the sharp-tongued master of ceremonies, known as the Headmaster. Once camp orientation was complete, the excited campers made their way into the chilled night to participate in various challenges, and the signature attraction of the event – the Hell Hunt, a several-hour period that combines odd and sometimes gross group participation events with a physical scavenger hunt of sorts. The prizes are S.C.A.G. (Shit Campers All Get), and in the morning, when the event comes to a close, folks with the most S.C.A.G. points (items vary in point value) win the title of Hellmaster, which carries perks down the line with other events held by Ten Thirty One Productions.
2015 marked the third time Theme Park Adventure has witnessed the Great Horror Campout, and its evolution here in Los Angeles. Ten Thirty One Productions is also the group that owns/develops the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, which we have covered for years now here in Southern California. They are a tremendously fun, creative team that always strives to come up with something spooky, crazy, and fun for its guests. While they sometimes fall a bit short in execution, most of the time, they deliver and guests flock to their events by the thousands.

Theme Park Adventure will be visiting our friends at the Great Horror Campout tonight in Los Angeles, located in the old zoo section of Griffith Park!
The Great Horror Campout is one of the large-scale events put on by Ten Thirty One Productions, a Los Angeles-based company that also owns and operates the wildly-popular Los Angeles Haunted Hayride each Halloween season. Theme Park Adventure has worked very closely for many years with this team, and has unparalleled access to their events, bringing images and video to horror experience fans around the world.
Tonight, Theme Park Adventure continues that proud tradition as we venture into the darkness of Griffith Park to witness yet another Great Horror Campout event up-close and very personally! We will be live tweeting from the event, and if signal permits, we will also Periscope from the event – a first for us (to be honest, the cell signal in Griffith Park may prohibit streaming video, but we will try our best).

A Successful Movie Night for the Great Horror Campout
Posted on March 15, 2015
Friday the 13th in Los Angeles has never been so much fun, thanks to the team at Ten Thirty One Productions and their subsidiary, the Great Horror Campout. Under a star-filled sky in the Old Zoo section of Griffith Park, the company held its inaugural Movie Night Under the Stars event, bringing hundreds of horror fans together for a screening of Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
This was no ordinary screening however. True to the company’s legacy of live horror events and attractions, Ten Thirty One Productions layered the Movie Night Under the Stars screening with its Great Horror Campout creatures, and unleashed them on the crowd of moviegoers throughout the evening, prompting screams from audience members as monsters lurked and crept up on them in the darkness!
