Downtown Disney District Offers Something for Everyone

With live entertainment, lush landscaping and innovative architecture, Downtown Disney District is the ideal location for a shopping spree, a dining excursion or simply a stroll through a unique Disney environment. Downtown Disney, a public esplanade leading to the entrances of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks, offers a lively, colorful array of innovative restaurants, interesting shops and dynamic entertainment venues.

Disneyland Resort Offers Incredible Array of Dining Options

From fast-casual fare to haute cuisine, the menu of dining options at the Disneyland Resort offers something for every guest. Here, waffles with the Disney characters are as celebrated as the spectacular creations at Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge.
“We offer innovative cuisine from our award-winning chefs that match our guests’ desire for elegant dining,” said Gary Maggetti, director of food and beverage integration at the Disneyland Resort. “But you can still find the Disneyland classics, from the Café Orléans Monte Cristo to Plaza Inn’s fried chicken.”

New Year’s Eve at Disneyland Resort Food and Fun

Guests at the Disneyland Resort will ring in the New Year and show their Disney Side with special New Year’s Eve entertainment, including live music and fireworks at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Parks. Here’s a look at the exciting opportunities, which are in addition to the festive Holidays fun.
At Disney California Adventure Park:
- Throughout the park, guests will enjoy a variety of live musical performances to get into the spirit of the new year. They also will enjoy a countdown to midnight at each stage location.

Downtown Disney Orlando Dining Offerings

In the midst of transforming Downtown Disney into Disney Springs, plenty of dining spots satisfy every sort of craving – add a side of fun with everything from bowling to live concerts.
AMC Dine-In Theatres, Downtown Disney West Side. Forget popcorn, try the blackened chicken Alfredo, fish and chips or a mushroom Swiss burger. Seat-side, table-top service and the latest movies.
Bongo’s Cuban Cafe, Downtown Disney West Side. Look for the 2-story pineapple and you’ll find Bongos, the creation of singer Gloria Estefan. The menu features Cuban classics from ceviche and Cuban sandwiches to ropa vieja and picadillo. Add a side of fried sweet plaintains or black beans. Some guests just sip a mojito on the outdoor patio.

Additional Disneyland Resort Holiday Merriment in 2014

The Happiest Place on Earth Just Gets Merrier starting Thursday, Nov. 13, when Anna and Elsa from Walt Disney Pictures’ animated hit “Frozen” join the annual holiday celebration at the Disneyland Resort. The Holidays bring themed entertainment, sparkling decorations, delicious treats, festive traditions and holiday shopping to locations throughout the Resort.
Among the highlights of the season, Nov. 13 through Jan. 6, 2015, is the return of the breathtaking “World of Color – Winter Dreams” holiday spectacular – with new songs added from the “Frozen” soundtrack. Also returning to Disney California Adventure Park is the festive “Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” holiday celebration and the grand finale of the season, a five-day celebration of Three Kings Day.
