REVIEW: Forevermore 2013 Knott’s Scary Farm
Posted on November 30, 2013
One of the most highly anticipated new mazes of the 2013 season at Knott’s Scary Farm was Forevermore. In this maze, guests entered the twisted world of the “Forevermore Killer”, an individual who has used the writings of Edgar Allan Poe as thematic templates to his brutal and shocking murders, creating hellish crime scenes for all to see, thanks to the interest of the media, who reports on his every move…

REVIEW: Endgames 2013 Knott’s Scary Farm
Posted on November 12, 2013
It’s loud! It’s bloody! It’s in-your-face action! Endgames: Warriors of the Apocalypse at Knott’s Scary Farm is definitely one of the most gritty, strange mazes that has been part of the Halloween Haunt lineup over the years. 2013 saw the return of the Brooke Walters/Gus Krueger spectacle that can only be described as the love child of Max Max Beyond Thunderdome and The Book of Eli. Fans love Endgames for its brash style and frenzied theme; the real question is, after this past season, is the fight-till-the-death maze down for the count, or can it last another round?

REVIEW: Trick Or Treat 2013 Knott’s Scary Farm
Posted on November 10, 2013
In 2012, Knott’s Scary Farm designer Brooke Walters stunned fans and Theme Park Adventure with her then-newest maze creation, Trick Or Treat. It was our favorite addition to the event as it celebrated its 40th Haunt, with a classic old school Halloween theme combined with the current Green Witch character push that Knott’s has placed front and center now for the past two seasons. Knowing that Trick Or Treat hadn’t changed much between 2012 and 2013, we were eager to experience it again for a second year in a row at the Scary Farm!

Knott’s Scary Farm Impresses on First Night 2013
Posted on October 4, 2013
It’s hard to believe, but the gates have swung open at Knott’s Scary Farm for their 41st Annual Halloween Haunt event in Buena Park! As is customary, Theme Park Adventure was on hand, to capture images and yes, a First Night video, of the event to share with Halloween fans around the world! This year’s Haunt at Knott’s featured some tremendous new mazes as well as monsters that were more than ready to plunge fangs-first into the fog! This is not a review – those come soon enough – but more of our overall impression of Halloween Haunt 2013 as a whole…

Knott’s Haunt 2013 Scare School
Posted on September 18, 2013
Scare School is something that has become a right of passage at Knott’s Berry Farm as the park is transformed each September into the Scary Farm. As elaborate mazes and shows are erected, hundreds of seasonal employees are hired to become terrifying creatures of the night. However, to truly be monsters, all of the employees that Knott’s hires for its Halloween Haunt event must be trained by a veteran team of managers that know exactly what it takes to be a denizen of the mazes and scare zones.
