ScareCON is Europe’s ONLY trade show for the scare attractions industry and returns in 2014 for its seventh fear-filled year. The event will be held inside one of the UK’s most popular Halloween Scream Park – Tulleys Shocktoberfest on Thursday June 19th.
Delegates will be able to participate in a full timetable of exclusive seminars from industry professionals, and take away practical knowledge and skills that can be applied to their own attractions. Seminars and workshops are currently being finalised but in the past have included Alton Towers, Europa Park in Germany as well as special guest speakers from the US and beyond.
Between talks and seminars, delegates can take a look at some of the exciting displays on offer around the venue and talk to representatives of some of the biggest scare providers in the UK. Whether shopping for that essential prop or looking for some help and advice on a new project, there will be experts and someone to help around every corner.
All delegates will also have access to the award winning scare attraction, The Cellar which will be exclusively opened for ScareCON, as well as a chance to go behind the scenes of other iconic Tulleys attraction such as the Haunted Hayride.
Following the positive feedback from the 2013 event, we have kept event admission down to a manageable price and for just £20, delegates can enjoy all the daytime events including trade stands, seminars and workshops.
Prices for the combined day and evening event are set at just £30 which includes all the daytime activities plus entrance to ScareBall a themed costume party with no boundaries. This is the ideal opportunity for everyone to let their hair down in their scariest costumes and enjoy the live entertainment, sexy dancing girls and boys and dance the night away in our exciting themed venue.
As the highlight of the year for the scare attraction industry, the ScareBall will also host the ScareCON Annual Recognition Awards (SCARs). These awards will follow a brand new voting system that will ensure all attractions are judged equally based on merit.
ScareCON day events are primarily intended for anyone currently in the scare industry as well as anyone just starting out, but we feel that the fans and enthusiasts of today could be the designers and builders of the future. Therefore, the day events are available to anyone with a genuine interest in the industry of scare. Of course, the ScareBall and SCARs are predominantly social and we would encourage anyone who fancies a good horror themed party to attend. Whatever the level of experience, there will be something of interest for everyone.
Delegate day rates start at just £20 which includes access to all seminars, workshops, and trade show. The combined evening ticket includes access to all events including food at the ScareBall. Catering facilities will be on hand during the day for drinks, snacks and lunch. There is ample parking at the venue

Tulleys Farm Shocktoberfest Scream Park is located in quiet countryside close to Gatwick Airport, just 15 miles south of London. It is the UK’s longest running Scream Park event and in 2013 it thrilled and entertained almost 60,000 visitors over the short Halloween period. The event has 6 main scare attractions including the Haunted Hayride, the terrifying Cellar and Hellements, where guests are hooded and left to find their way along by following a rope in the darkness.
ScareCON is owned and run by Michael Bolton who also operates ScareTOUR – the UK’s biggest scare news and review site. Michael has experienced hundreds of scare attractions around the world and has worked with some of the best in the UK. Michael is an independent scare consultant and has an impressive roster of clients ranging from major theme parks to small farm attractions. His last two projects, PrimEVIL at Norfolk Dinosaur Adventure Park and Ghosts of Christmas in Glasgow opened to critical success.
