Savage House Haunted Attraction in San Diego is returning for its second year! Unlike most haunted attractions filled with multiple themed rooms, Savage House has put a unique twist on the old recipe by creating San Diego’s ONLY themed haunt.
Savage Productions, the masterminds behind Savage House, immerse you in a storyline complete with a plot that begins from the moment you’re in line until you exit the last room. From the characters to the sets, costumes and makeup, Savage House is a unique and impressive experience. What’s even more impressive is that Savage Productions has found a way to contain this experience in a free standing structure in a public space.
Unlike most other haunted attractions that are in permanent locations year round or a vacant building that’s been temporarily converted, Savage Productions has found a way to create this experience in a temporary structure while still meeting all local building codes including earthquake and wind requirements as well as fire safety requirements, and also meet all ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements, an impressive task considering they construct the entire haunt in 14 days, operate for the month of October, and then tear down in 14 days leaving the site looking as though they were never there.
Another bonus to the experience is their interactions with their customers waiting in line, with things like nightly prize giveaways, horror movie trivia games, and photo-ops with wondering cosplay characters. They also have a large retail shop selling many of the custom horror movie displays that Savage Productions is famous for.
One of the other unique aspects of Savage House is their “Museum” which includes as many as 25 character displays from all your favorite horror movies, as well as vehicles from some of your favorite horror movies. This year they’ve also added a 600 square feet Walking Dead section to their museum including Daryl’s crossbow, Merel’s knife arm prosthetic, Michone’s sword, and many other props.
Savage House has kicked it up a notch by having something for the hardcore horror fans with special celebrity guest appearing in their Museum such as Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees) from the Friday the 13th films, George Wilbur (Michael Myers) Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, and Dan Yeager (Leatherface) Texas Chainsaw 3D. They’ll even be having appearances from some of Syfy’s FaceOff contestants!
And yet somehow, they have managed to remain San Diego’s least expensive haunted attraction at only $16 for the haunt, $5 for the museum, or $18 for the combo of BOTH attractions! They even offer a fast pass for $5 and get this… you can get a “2nd TIME THROUGH” for only $5 with your original admission wristband! They also have free parking right at the attraction which makes attending this attraction more convenient than any other attraction in San Diego! Savage House Haunted Attraction is really worth checking out!
