The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk needs to fill an important role in their 2015 summer television special. They’re looking for someone who is ready to propose marriage to their sweetheart, on camera at the Boardwalk.
“We hear from people all the time who want to propose or take engagement photographs at the Boardwalk because it’s such a special place for them,” said Boardwalk advertising director Sondra Woods. “We know that somebody with a connection to the Boardwalk is already out there, ready to propose. We just want to capture it on camera.”
The person chosen will work with the Boardwalk’s creative team at Tam Communications to arrange the details for their romantic proposal. The program will air throughout the summer on KTVU and other TV stations around the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is considered the Best Seaside Amusement Park in the industry. The nostalgic park features the world-famous 1924 Giant Dipper wooden roller coaster, dozens of oceanfront thrill rides and classic midway games, and year-round indoor game arcades.
The Boardwalk’s remarkable history includes the first Miss California pageants, the greatest of the big bands, and a spectacular collection of daring performers who flew through the air, sometimes on fire, giving beachgoers the thrill of a lifetime.
