Midsummer Scream, California’s premier Halloween, haunt and horror festival announces the Museum of Paranormal History, a unique collective of vendors, experts, authors, and local tour guides specializing in all things supernatural.
The Museum of Paranormal History will feature more than a dozen exhibitors on the show floor including Bearded Lady’s Mystic Museum which will be showcasing their vintage Ouija boards, ParaXplorer Project, Dearly Departed Tours, Haunted Vegas Tours, Planet Paranormal known for their wide variety of fantastic radio talk shows, Orange County Ghosts and Legends tour and paranormal investigation group, and the Winchester Mystery House which will be featured in a major presentation on Sunday July 31 and will have actual pieces from the famous Northern California mansion on display – some for sale – at their booth. To ensure nothing gets out of hand, members of the Southland Ghostbusters cosplay group will be present throughout the weekend.
Spearheading the Museum of Paranormal History at Midsummer Scream are Richard Carradine, Founder of GHOULA – Ghost Hunters of Urban Los Angeles – and Connor Bright, historian and owner of the popular blog What’s YOUR Ghost Story?
“Telling ghost stories and tales of haunted houses is perhaps the greatest tradition of the Halloween season, which will be represented at Midsummer Scream in our Museum of Paranormal History,” said David Markland, Executive Director of Midsummer Scream. “Just about everyone is fascinated at the notion of supernatural happenings, and there is a large community devoted to exploring paranormal activity around the world; we look forward to including them in our convention.”
Rounding-out the paranormal offerings at Midsummer Scream will be two additional panel presentations: Haunted Theme Parks on Saturday July 30, delving into infamous ghost stories surrounding the attractions at Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Universal Studios Hollywood. On Sunday July 31, Spirits with Spirits: Haunted Bars of Southern California will be on tap, serving up a round of blood-chilling stories about the most “active” drinking holes in the Southland.
