Midwest Haunters Convention Delivers Thrills and Chills

Midwest Haunters Convention 2015 (3)From May 29th through May 31st, haunters and haunt fans alike descended upon Columbus, Ohio for “the largest Halloween show of its kind”. Sponsored by TransWorld and Netherworld Haunted House, the Midwestern Haunters Convention was a frightfully wonderful event!

Over one hundred exhibitors lined the halls of the Columbus Convention Center to display their latest effects, animatronics, and props… essentially anything your bleeding heart could desire for a haunted attraction. In addition to the exhibitors, seminars and demonstrations were available for unconventional conventionists throughout the weekend with topics such as “Sinister Scenery Secrets”, “Haunt Method Acting”, and “Use Phobias to Freak Out Your Guests!”

This convention is geared toward the haunter buying and previewing product for their event. However, the casual haunted attraction fan would certainly be entertained. Anyone is able to purchase admission to the seminars and there were many other events during the event as well. Three separate bus tours transported attendees from the convention center to Northern Ohio to visit Ghostly Manor Thrill Center in Sandusky, Hauntville Haunted House in Elyria, and Spooky Ranch in Cleveland. Another tour included a paranormal investigation of Moundsville’s West Virginia Penitentiary, and the last tour was an after party hosted at the famous Haunted Hoochie haunted attraction east of Columbus.

If you’re in the Columbus area in need of a Halloween fix with the opportunity to visit many different haunted attractions during the off season, then the Midwest Haunters Convention should not be missed!
