Halloween fans, rejoice! Midsummer Scream Halloween Festival has announced its 2017 return to the Long Beach in a teaser video this morning – the first treat of the day for fans far and near!
Presented by Creepy LA and Theme Park Adventure, Midsummer Scream is the West Coast’s premier Halloween, haunt and horror convention, taking place Saturday and Sunday July 29 and 30, 2017 at the Long Beach Convention Center.
Launched in 2016, Midsummer Scream drew more than 8,000 fans of Halloween, horror and the macabre to Long Beach, where they enjoyed a massive show floor full of vendors and exhibitors, live entertainment, world-class panel presentations, a black cat rescue center, education and workshops, and previews of different haunts and attractions that have kept people screaming throughout this Halloween season.
“Midsummer Scream is something the entire haunt community is excited and passionate about,” says Rick West, Creative Director of Midsummer Scream. “In 2016, we literally put the convention together in three and a half months, with the support and undying love of our friends and partners across the industry. For a first-year event, we couldn’t have been more proud of how everything came together; it really was a testament to the amazing fan community here in Southern California, and our tremendous team that worked tirelessly to pull Midsummer off. I can tell you our core team is raring to go again. This time, we will have had an entire year to plan and are comfortable with the Long Beach Convention Center as our venue. Midsummer Scream is going to be bigger and better, offering even more thrills and chills over the last weekend in July for all who come to play! It’s a terribly exciting time to be a fan; as we come down from the high of Halloween, we now have Midsummer Scream 2017 to look forward to together!”
Details regarding Midsummer Scream 2017 will be revealed in the months ahead.
“What I can tell you,” says West, “is that folks who enjoyed our Hall of Shadows this year can look forward to it returning with even more haunts and entertainment next summer. We’ve visited haunted attractions all over Southern California this Halloween, and everyone we’ve talked to wants in! Hall of Shadows 2017 is going to be fantastic!”
Stay tuned as more information becomes available! Happy Halloween!
