In honor of the park’s 60th Anniversary, Disneyland is calling on its fans and visitors to show their 1955 Disney Side by dressing up – or dapper – to commemorate the 1955 opening and the attire that men and women of that day and age wore to the park. Chances are, it’s going to be incredibly hot that day – just like it was 60 years ago as womens’ heels sunk into fresh asphalt on Main Street! There won’t be any heel-sinking happening this year, but as the day turns to night, it should be great fun seeing tons of fans showing up in coats, dresses and fedoras to join in the festivities.
While the park hasn’t disclosed what guests can specifically expect to find on July 17, they have said that there will be special entertainment, along with unique photo locations to commemorate the milestone date.
Of course, all of the Diamond Celebration entertainment and excitement will be offered and we expect the parks to be very crowded as fans flock to Anaheim, especially in the evening hours after work, to be part of history as Disneyland turns 60.
