Chef Wolfgang Puck to Create VIP Menu for Rock in Rio USA

Wolfgang-Puck-Rock-in-Rio-Las-VegasRock in Rio, the legendary music festival celebrating its 30th anniversary worldwide, has enlisted world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck to create a special hospitality menu for VIPs attending the inaugural Rock in Rio USA, coming to Las Vegas in May 2015.   Celebrating the cultures of the three themed Rock Streets within Rock in Rio USA’s City of Rock, Puck will deliver his original take on signature dishes from the U.S., UK and Brazil for the event.  This distinct dining experience is an example of the innovative, premium offerings that will be included in Rock in Rio USA’s VIP experience.

“Just like art, great music comes together with food and service to create a memorable dining experience,” said Wolfgang Puck.

Included in the price of a Rock in Rio USA VIP ticket, the all-inclusive buffet curated by Puck for the festival will span from snacks to dinner to desserts, with offerings changing throughout each day.  In the spirit of the U.S. Rock Street, Puck will provide a twist on the flavors of New Orleans with such dishes as fried chicken and pimento cheese Po’Boys with okra kimchi, spicy boudin balls with creole tartar and bread pudding soufflé with whiskey cream.  Dishes with Brazilian influences include the national dish feijoada, Portuguese rice and chicken bobo.  Rock Street UK  includes updates to iconic dishes such as as house made bangers with stout onion gravy, Yorkshire puds and Thai red curry Scotch Eggs.  These dishes and more will be featured in each weekend’s unique menu.

In addition to the all-inclusive buffet, the 4,000 person VIP area will feature air conditioning, an open bar (certain premium liquors available for additional purchase) and its own unique view of the City of Rock.

A global culinary leader, and staple to the Las Vegas restaurant scene, Puck is credited with igniting the city’s fine dining revolution, beginning with the opening of Spago in the Forum Shops at Caesars in 1992. Las Vegas is now the home to six additional restaurants from the world renowned chef: Postrio at The Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes, CUT at the Palazzo, Trattoria del Lupo in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at MGM Grand, Pizzeria & Cucina at The Shops at Crystals, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Downtown Summerlin, his most recent addition and first off-strip restaurant in the city.
