GAN Rob Zombie Performances Halloween Night on SiriusXM

Highlights from Rob Zombie’s two performances at his Great American Nightmare Halloween attraction will be heard Halloween night–Friday, October 31–from 9:00-10:00 PM Eastern Time on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM channel Howard 101.
The concerts were recorded at the September 19 opening night for Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare in Scottsdale, Arizona and the September 26 GAN opening night in Villa Park, Illinois.

A Monstrous Halloween Wedding at Nightfall

What better place for Frankenstein’s Monster and his bride to tie the knot than Nightfall? The couple, also known as Fred Curtis and Terry Rojas, will exchange vows on Halloween night, Friday, October 31st at 6:30 pm. The ceremony will be officiated by Joe Camarillo of Old Tucson who is coordinating the event for the couple. Following the nuptials, the newlyweds and their guests will enjoy the remainder of the evening celebrating the occasion at Nightfall.
Mr. Curtis has been playing Frankenstein’s Monster and making appearances as the popular icon at area malls for the last 20 years. “I love doing it for the children. They get a big kick out of a 7-foot tall green guy,” he says. The future Mrs. Frankenstein is credited with coming up with the idea to wed at Tucson’s oldest and biggest Halloween themed event.

Start Some Good Campaign – Walt Disney Birthplace

The Walt Disney Birthplace kicked off its “Start Some Good” fundraising campaign on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 and will run until Walt Disney’s birthday on December 5, 2014. The fundraiser, www.startsomegood.com/WDB, will support costs associated with the Phase one exterior restoration efforts. A variety of special events will also be a part of the campaign.
Walt Disney fans worldwide are rejoicing that the landmark home in Chicago, IL where Walt and Roy Disney were born has been privately purchased and is in the process of being restored. The modest home, built in 1893 by Elias and Flora Disney for their growing family, will become a museum and cultural space. The target date for completion of Phase 1 of the exterior restoration is December 2014.

Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor Sees Record-Breaking Growth

On Thursday, October 2, The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor unleashed a spectacle of new haunted spirits, mazes and attractions that landed the annual festival on the Travel Channel’s list of the top ten haunts in the world. Nightly Dark Harbor attracts thousands of brave thrill seekers and continues to experience record-breaking attendance growth annually making it the fastest growing haunt in Southern California.
This year the annual haunt unveiled three new terrifying mazes. B340 and Soulmate depict the true torrid tales of two unfortunate Queen Mary passengers of the past. Samuel the Savage and Graceful Gale both haunt the cruise liner and take Dark Harbor guests on a horrific journey through their insanity and demise. The new Voodoo Village maze summons the Voodoo Priestess to arise from the swamps with her band of gypsies and witch doctors to taunt guests and control all mortal and spirit souls.

Morimoto Asia Opening Summer 2015 at Disney Springs

Chef Masaharu Morimoto is teaming up with Patina Restaurant Group to open Morimoto Asia as Walt Disney World Resort brings to life Disney Springs, an entertainment-dining-retail district re-imagined from Downtown Disney. To open in summer 2015 at The Landing, in the heart of Disney Springs, Morimoto Asia is the Japanese master chef’s first pan-Asian dining experience.
Morimoto Asia’s extraordinary, 36-foot tall, two-story layout includes a vast range of areas to explore including open terraces, grand hall, private rooms, long bar, cocktail lounge, waterside seating and more. The restaurant is being designed by STUDIO V Architecture.
