Knott’s Haunt 2014 Dates & Elvira Announced

ElviraAnnouncement_SocialMediaKnott’s Scary Farm, the largest, most haunted experience in Southern California, returns for 24 horrifying nights September 25 – November 1 and features the return of Elvira, the legendary Mistress of the Dark, endless horrifying mazes, and a thousand monsters lurking in the fog.

Event dates are: September 25, 26, 27, October 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, 31 & Nov. 1. Knott’s Scary Farm is open from 7pm until 1am Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and until 2am Fridays and Saturdays. Killer deals will be available later this summer when tickets go on-sale.

Dive’n’Movies at Wet’n’Wild Vegas

Movie nights are free with the price of admission and are an added benefit for Season Pass holders. World Giraffe Day Celebrated at LCS

Giraffe trafficLion Country Safari, home to one of the largest herd of giraffes in the country, is celebrating World Giraffe Day June 21, 2014. World Giraffe Day is a new worldwide initiative of the Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) to celebrate giraffes and to raise awareness of the challenges they face in the wild. Only 80,000 giraffe remain in the wild.

Many of the animals on safari will get “giraffe-themed enrichments”, including the lions, antelope and rhinos. The herd of giraffes on safari will also get enrichments throughout the day. From noon – 2pm guests can make a giraffe-themed craft in our Education Station.

On June 18, 2014, Harry Potter film stars including Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and others attended an exclusive preview of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ð Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando Resort.On June 18, 2014, Harry Potter film stars including Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and others attended an exclusive preview of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando Resort.

Arriving on a red carpet that stretched from King’s Cross Station to the picturesque ‘London,’ the cast celebrated the announcement of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s grand opening date – recently revealed to be July 8, 2014. Robbie Coltrane led event attendees inside the land by ceremoniously tapping the bricks of Diagon Alley – just like Rubeus Hagrid did in the Harry Potter books and films.

Universal Orlando Releases New App

UOR App Screenshot For ReleaseUniversal Orlando Resort launched a new mobile application this month that gives guests full control of their adventure by providing immediate attraction wait-times, interactive park maps, customizable favorites lists and more – all with the swipe of a finger. The app is available as a free download for Apple and Android mobile devices.

In its pursuit to enhance theme park mobile technology, Universal Orlando also announced the debut of FREE park-wide mobile Internet access, with Xfinity WiFi, the nation’s largest Wi-Fi network. High-speed Wi-Fi is now available across both Universal Orlando theme parks – Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida – and at Universal CityWalk.
