REVIEW: Fallout Shelter at Knott’s Halloween Haunt 2012

Like gamers remaining loyal to their favorite shooters, Knott’s Halloween Haunt fans are very loyal to Fallout Shelter, which returned in 2012 to the event. It was one of the few mazes that wasn’t truncated this season, other than its marquee signage. So, if you were fortunate enough not to pass Fallout Shelter by, you were in for a treat!

TPA’s Winter Nights at Sam’s Back for Another Round

On December 9, 2012, the second TPA’s Winter Nights at Sam’s meet-up continued on the patio of Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel with tons of laughs, good friends, and Tiki drinks. While the group was smaller than we’ve had in gatherings past (likely due to Holiday craziness), we welcomed back many familiar faces and a few new ones! In particular, the folks from Chills for Change came to visit all the way from Santa Barbara! Talk about dedication! It was a pleasure to meet the crew, and we hope to see you guys back soon! We are honored that a nearly two-hour drive is worth attending our event!

Betty White Gets the “Who-Manitarian of the Year” Award at Universal Studios Hollywood

Betty White at Universal Studios Hollywood for GrinchmasOn December 6, 2012, actress and animal activist Betty White was presented the “Who-Manitarian of the Year” Award at Universal Studios Hollywood for her lifelong dedication to animal welfare. In addition to her great achievements in helping countless animals, Ms. White was recently named Chairman of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association. The award was presented to Betty White by the Grinch’s lovable sidekick Max on a crispy Thursday morning under the Whoville tree. Theme Park Adventure was honored to be a part of this ceremony, and to witness the talented Betty White receiving an award she deserves!

SeaWorld Orlando Receives Cold-Stress Sea Turtles from the New England Coast

(December 7, 2012) Orlando, Fla. – This afternoon, SeaWorld Orlando’s Animal Rescue Team received 20 stable Kemp’s ridley sea turtles flown in on a U.S. Coast Guard airplane from the New England Aquarium.  A mass stranding of hypothermic sea turtles occurred along the Cape Cod coast last week.
